On a recent trip to Miami, I spent a few days cruising with the Royal Caribbean Cruises and found that the best place to wind down afterwards was at the St. Regis Bal Harbour. Located on the beachfront, the hotel is at the intersection of art, fashion, and design across the street from Bal Harbour Shops.

As someone who is on an airplane almost every month of the year, I found the hotel perfect for today’s affluent global travellers who prefer hotels that make them feel at home.

The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort offers best-in-class service for guests of its 216 elegant guest rooms and suites designed with a soft, seductive, and refined color palette by award-winning interior design firm Yabu Pushelberg.

A recent multi-million-dollar investment raises the bar further with stunning enhancements to the resort, making it an iconic luxury hotspot in Bal Harbour.

Signature Suites, each with four bedrooms and bathrooms offer residential luxury living for up to eight guests and has marble bathrooms, walk-in closets and spacious balconies. The Signature suites can be combined to accommodate more guests.

Being a food connoisseur, I explored various restaurant hubs in Miami, Little Cuba being my favourite but my breakfast and dinner was always at The St. Regis Bal Harbour. Breakfast at Atlantikós was an absolute delight, set in the bright blue and white contrasting colors of Greece. For dinner, Atlantikós offers a curated selection of traditional Greek dishes.

BH Burger Bar features everything from the decadent Signature Burger, build-your-own-burgers to gourmet franks, fries and indulgent shakes. With toppings like foie gras, black truffle, kale and tomato jam, BH Burger Bar set the new standard for relaxed dining in Bal Harbour.

The St. Regis Bar & Sushi Lounge is a music venue in Bal Harbour with contemporary music seven nights a week as you enjoy cocktails and an Asian-inspired dishes in a vibrant and luxurious lounge setting.

The afternoon tea ritual has been a treasured tradition at St. Regis for over a century and remains as one of the resort’s most anticipated culinary experiences, available daily upon request.

The Remède Spa is an oasis of refinement and tranquility, spoiling guests with indulgent treatments with 11 spacious treatment rooms, a Vichy rain shower room, saunas, aromatic steam rooms and a full service salon.

The St. Regis Athletic Club has a 24-hour fitness center and the Sea Turtle Club is designed to accommodate guests up to 12 years old with interactive games, computers, art adventures, pool play, beach exploration as well as indoor fun.

Guests can also enjoy 10,000 square feet of tropical sun deck with two pools overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and direct access to the beach with private cabanas for daily rental, beach services and special amenities. The luxurious Oceanfront Day Villas are a must try.

Butler Service has long been a treasured hallmark of the St. Regis experience, ensuring that unique preferences are known and addressed flawlessly. Lastly, the resort has a 1,800-square-foot of private events space offering flexible solutions for events and meetings.

The resort has won numerous awards and is 30 minutes from both Miami (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) international airports with easy access to tremendous art, culture, and attractions in Miami and across all of South Florida.

Getting to Miami is easy with Turkish Airlines via Istanbul. The connection time is perfect from Dubai and allows for enough time to indulge in the Turkish Airlines renowned lounge, which is clearly the best in the world with every comfort you can imagine. My favourite is always the fresh pastries, kebabs, the movie room with popcorn and the complimentary massage offered to travellers before getting on a flight.
