It is a beautiful day today – just the right temperature to be out and get a dose of Vitamin D and the best way to do this in Dubai is to head to the Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club for the second annual UAE National Day Polo Cup. The event is supported by The Address Hotels and Resorts and my favourite retail therapy there usually is with La Martina.

As my little diva is a huge fan of polo since she was 10 years old, I am obliged to be there for the afternoon before heading to F1. Visitors can watch eight polo teams consisting of local and international players including three of the UAE’s best teams compete to win the coveted UAE National Day Polo Cup presented by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

With a great line up of international polo players, fantastic horsemanship, shows and traditional equestrian activities throughout day, the event salutes the nation’s equestrian heritage, coinciding with the UAE’s 44^th National Day celebration, with entertainment, food and activities suitable for all ages.

The Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club’s annual event makes a great day out for the entire family with activities including pony rides to entertain the little ones and live music by its very own DJ. Among the highlights will be a parade with horses and Rolls Royce cars, traditional yolla dancers, a falcon show and camel polo. Families can enjoy camel rides, picnics and fantastic food provided by some of the city’s award-winning restaurants from The Address Hotels and Resorts including Asado, Zeta Restaurant/Lounge, Neos and Thiptara.
