The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend at Yas Marina Circuit is the perfect place to get into the spirit of UAE National Day on 2nd December with a series of activities celebrating the country’s cultural and heritage.

Visitors from more than 170 countries around the world can visit North Oasis during the 2015 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX to learn about the UAE’s history and heritage as it celebrates 44 years since unification.

The Culture & Heritage Village located in the North Oasis area features live cookery stations, local entertainment, traditional arts and crafts, as well as Majlis-style chill out areas.

It’s not only international visitors that will enjoy this fascinating insight, but also people from the Middle East. Watching the calligrapher with interest, 34-year-old Mohammed Adeeb from Amman, Jordan, said: “These old methods and tools have been in use in Arabic culture for hundreds of years and predates the use of pens and pencils.

The North Oasis is one of four Oasis areas dotted around the circuit providing a range of entertainment to compliment the on-track racing and live musical performances.
