It certainly is an art infused week in Dubai. After an amazing night of fine dining, live opera and enjoying some of the best artworks of artist Michael R. Arnold in the Showcase Art Gallery that has an amazing ambience, we are busy today with our new client Meena Kamal.

The Z Gallery at the Four Points by Sheraton Sheikh Zayed Road is currently exhibiting a mesmerising display of paintings by Indian artist, Meena Kamal and the opening is tonight so I am super busy doing admin work at DMCC while liaising with art related media.

‘A view on another level’ is a collection of mixed media abstract paintings. Using various techniques on wooden panels, the artist creates abstract landscapes of her memories and experiences in oil as well as mixed media. Meena Kamal created these works in San Francisco, after her spiritual visit to the holy land.

It is photographic creativity juxtaposed with abstract landscapes. ‘I create landscapes of my memories and experiences in oil and mixed media,’ she said. She has participated in exhibitions in Berlin, Paris, New York, Berkeley, Basel (Art GZ-Basel, Switzerland) and San Francisco. Her work was represented at one of the best rated abstract art gallery ‘Arthaus’, in San Francisco-California USA.
The exhibition also features a selection of stunning photographs of the bustling Sheikh Zayed Road taken from Level 43 Sky Lounge. The exhibition will run till the end of the year. The Z Gallery, located on the first floor, is open to guests and visitors with displays from both local and international artists.
